Don’t Forget to Pack These Disneyland® Essentials!
Planning a trip to see the Mouse? You’re probably packing the usual goodies: a portable phone charger, stylish sunglasses, or a trendy water bottle. But don’t leave without packing these forgotten essentials!
- Plastic Ponchos
Want short lines? Ride Grizzly Bear Rapids or Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in the early morning or late at night. After all, no one wants to get wet when it’s chilly willy outside. But you have a secret weapon: plastic ponchos. Bring your ponchos from home to avoid the hassle of buying them in the parks!
- Neck Cooling Towels
I grew up in Arizona. One summer day, my dad told me to stop complaining (“It’s hot outside!”). Being an obedient child, I changed my whine: “It’s Arizona outside!” If only my dad knew about neck cooling towels. Pack them in your backpack. Wet them in a drinking fountain. Pass them out as matching family necklaces. Feel satisfied because you are the best parent in Disneyland.
- Kiddie Utensils
Speaking of kids, you can bring toddler-sized dining utensils into the parks. To keep guests safe, Disney® security will likely not allow any knives. However, bringing disposable or plastic forks and spoons can help you split portions or just make dining easier for your kiddos.
- Stroller Fan
Finding your stuff in a sea of strollers can feel like a baggage claim nightmare. A pretty fan clipped to your stroller can help you identify which one is yours. And many fans can do more than keep your kiddo cool: Stroller fans also double as nighttime toys if they come with lights!
- Electrolyte Powders
Every family has a water snob. If you want to spice up a drinking fountain experience, pour some electrolyte powder into your reusable water bottle. You can even come up with a catchy name to market your new beverage.
- Stamps
Send a postcard to grandma, a best friend, or a jealous coworker from the Happiest Place on Earth! You can buy a Disneyland postcard to send from one of the old timey post boxes on Main Street. But since Disneyland does not sell stamps, you’ll need to bring your own.
- Band-Aids and Petroleum Jelly
It’s 7:30 AM. You’re running to catch the rope drop closest to Disney’s® Rise of the Resistance. That’s when you notice it on the back of your ankle: a popping, juicy blister! Pack some band-aids, moleskins, and petroleum jelly to make sure your feet can’t stop the fun.
And once you have that bag packed, bring it to one of our Best Western Plus Stovall’s hotels within walking distance of Disneyland! See you soon!
