Tarzan’s Treehouse™ was a fun and exciting attraction at Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California. It lets visitors explore the world of Tarzan, the jungle hero who swings on vines. The treehouse was built around a big, 80-foot-tall fake tree that looked just like a real jungle tree. Guests started their adventure by climbing a tree stump and crossing a wobbly rope bridge high above the ground. They could see how Tarzan lived, from when he was a little boy raised by gorillas to becoming the jungle’s brave protector.
Visitors could see Jane’s sketchbook inside the treehouse, which showed pictures of Tarzan and his life in the jungle. The attraction had lots of fun things to touch and explore, so guests could feel like they were in the wild jungle. The big tree itself had a special name—Disneydendron semperflorens grandis—which means “big, always green Disney tree.” It was carefully made to look like a huge jungle tree with lots of leaves and branches.
In 2023, Tarzan’s Treehouse became Adventureland Treehouse, inspired by the story of the Swiss Family Robinson. This new treehouse showed how the Robinson family lived and worked together to survive in the wild. It had many rooms to explore, showing how the family made a home in the jungle using innovative ideas and teamwork.
Tarzan’s Treehouse opened in 1999, around the time the Disney movie Tarzan came out. It was a favorite spot for many Disneyland visitors because of the cool rope bridge, fun activities, and exciting stories. Even though it is now called Adventureland Treehouse, it still feels like a place full of adventure where kids and families can imagine life in the jungle.
