Best Restaurants in Anaheim’s Packing District

Anaheim’s Packing District lets you enjoy the culinary artistry of small businesses. This food hall contains a very diverse population, fresh produce, and world-class culinary talents that make Southern California one of the best places to eat in the world. This Packing district is only two miles from the Disneyland® Resort, making it an easy and accessible stop to add to your Anaheim adventure. Although it was challenging to conclude which are the best restaurants in this food hall, we bring you this list of the five most innovative establishments you’ll find.

The Chippy Fish & Grill

Website | (714) 603-7865

440 S. Anaheim Blvd., Anaheim, CA

The Chippy Fish & Grill offers only the highest quality ingredients and prides itself on fresh, simple, and healthy eating. All fish and chips are cooked using unique family recipes from the United Kingdom that are healthier and lighter than most traditional cooking methods.

This restaurant uses significant, top-quality generously cuts of fresh fish dipped in lightly seasoned batter with zero trans fat soybean oil, served up crisp, light, and golden brown. Topping this off, lemon, malt vinegar, and homemade tartar sauce will surely leave your taste buds smiling! They’re well-known for their grilled and foil-wrap baked fish; although it takes a few more minutes to prepare, it will certainly give you that fine-dining experience at a fair price.

Their award-winning food has been featured in publications for the best Fish and Chips in Orange County by OC Weekly, Yelp, and Monster Munching. Their dishes are made to order and served timely to provide a warm, gourmet, and memorable seafood dining experience.

Rolling Boil

Website | (714) 618-0248

440 S. Anaheim Blvd., Anaheim, CA

Taking a twist on a classic, Rolling Boil offers a wide variety of soup broths, from vegetarian to spiced-up concoctions, and a multitude of dipping sauces. Like it spicy? Ask for their Ghost Pepper extract drops! Too spicy? Cool yourself down with Asian craft beer and Whiskey.

The fun part of this restaurant is that you assemble your ‘bowl’ however you want. First, you need to pick a protein (some of their most popular options are New York Steak, Rib Eye, and Pork Tenderloin). Then you must choose a broth (we suggest you pick a combination broth), and lastly, select a sauce; it can be citrus, sha cha, toasted sesame, or all three sauces!

Do you want delicious food that is piping hot with every bite? Do you want to be a chef without any hard work? Pick your fresh garden vegetables, sliced to order meat, and start swishing away at Rolling Boil!

One trend this restaurant hopes to ignite is the love of poutines, a dish consisting of crispy fries topped with cheese curds and gravy. This Canadian junk food staple is a specialty on their menu.

This restaurant offers an extensive selection of homestyle comfort food, from their famous gourmet sandwiches to crispy, gravy-battered poutines and hand-selected draught beers to match. They craft delicious dipping sauces, specialty drinks, and savory cuisines, all made in-house and fresh daily to satisfy all your cravings.

This unique ramen restaurant, originating in Japan, opened its second North American location in 2022 within the historic Anaheim Packing District. It is distinctive for its richly flavored soup made using bone broth—currently popular in the US—from pork bones and seafood.

Zabon Ramen attracts a loyal following of ramen enthusiasts seeking a more uncommon soup base, combining Tonkotsu (pork) broth, chicken broth, and soy sauce. What also sets Zabon apart from other popular So Cal ramen destinations is a generous mound of fresh vegetables and charred chashu (Japanese braised pork belly).

Always pursuing new flavors, Zabon Ramen delivers a unique taste you won’t find anywhere else with their zabon ramen noodles. This passion allows this establishment to continue serving up ramen noodles with confidence and pride each day.
